Dear friends --
If you read my post last month, you know that I've got a big challenge on my hands. I've spent quite a few days out of the last three weeks getting tests and treatments at MD Anderson Cancer Center -- and getting a tiny bit of good news, too. Still, I am spending an enormous amount of time just "resting." And I think I need a bit more rest before I post my blog for this month. It might not even appear until July 1 -- this particular chemo that I'm on is enormously fatiguing, more than I ever imagined. I'm hanging in there, though, thankful for the incredible prayers and wishes that many of you have sent my way. They are all deeply appreciated.
Best wishes -
Sue Garman

ReplyDeleteI think of you a lot Sue as I work on my applique. Be well!
ReplyDeleteI've been praying for you this month. I know the struggle isn't easy. I can only pray that this Wednesday I will also receive some good news. I've actually taken the time to choose fabric for the next quilt for my some and dil, another one of your patterns, Star Crazy. I will be adding two additional borders, flying geese and one that will be made of squares set on the diagonal similar to the one from Stars for a new day. I will be continuing to pray for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteIt's just good to hear from you. God bless you in you treatments.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm very glad there is a little good news in the wind! Above all, do what's right for you now. Sending you prayers for comfort and joy, Sue!

ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear from you. You have been on my mind so often since I read your May post.Chemo is mostly intensely fatiguing as the anti-emetic drugs take care of the nausea for the most part these days. Just take care of yourself. That is where your efforts need to go. Hugs.

Dear Sue, warm wishes and loads of prayerful thoughts are coming your way from Central Alberta, especially since I am now working on 3 of your designs so thankful that your patterns have challenged me to become a better appliquer. God will give you His strength when you most need it.

ReplyDeleteYou deserve some good news. You have motivated me to restart Coxcomb Medalion that I started 8 years ago. I'm on month 9. It's like a prayer quilt as I pray for you and Jack as I work on it.
ReplyDeleteI will continue to pray for you ...you have inspired so many of us..to try something new...to do our best and improve with every quilt...so the only thing we can do is send our prayers...chemo is debilitating..so rest as much as you need...stay strong and accept our love for you
ReplyDeleteI have been praying for you. Any news we hear from you boosts us too. Quilting brought us together, but we all know your rest is the most important. Thank you for keeping us updated.
