"All Around the Town"

As you can see, the quilt was done in muted brights (oops... is that a contradiction in terms?). So when Pat sent me a picture of her quilt... it was all I could do to keep myself from laughing out loud. Talk about a quilt that would make anyone smile!
Pat said her "dot drawer" was overflowing, and so she chose to make her quilt out of lots of dots. Her creative use of fabric is amazing - wouldn't you agree? If you "spot" Pat in the future, thank her for sharing. And for all the quilters out there who have doubts, who can't find a niche because their fabrics and tastes don't agree with those you so often see elsewhere... take a lesson from Pat. Use whatever you like. Pat made me smile and my guess is that you smiled, too!
Until next time, happy sewing!

Both are just beautifu. I would love to have that pattern where can I get it or can I still?
ReplyDeleteAll Around the Town is available from Quakertown Quilts as a block-of-the-month. Go to their website (www.QuakertownQuilts.com) and click on their Online Catalog and then click on Block of the Month Programs. Have fun quilting!
ReplyDeleteSue I had just mentioned to someone that is making your Bouquet blocks from the Quilt Show that they would have to send their quilt to you. It is stunning and I am sure you would appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right the creator really did a wonderful job on the fabric choices to make her polka dot village. It is not always easy to work with dots. Thanks for sharing.. I love to see the varieties of quilts with the same pattern.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you had any photos of your Shivery Snowman quilt. I just finished the top, using 12 12-inch and 12 6-inch pieced blocks and 6-inch hand-appliqued snowmen (I reduced the patterns. They are precious!). I'm working on a very simple pieced border using all the scraps from the blocks and snowmen.
Thanks so much,
Tanys
Tanys asked if I had a photo of my Shivery Snowman quilt. I'm sorry that I don't have photos of all of my quilts -- but one day I will pull Shivery Snowman out of the "stack" and take a picture. First... I have to find where my camera has hidden itself!
