I love that there are only two things of interest in FL; Gigi in Tampa and Disneyworld! lol And she's quite the graphic artist, getting the perspective of the desks in the classroom! Awesome! I love it!

And thank you for that info about Jerrianne's photo trick! Genius! Often at shows, I'll take a pic of a quilt, and when I look on the camera screen, I see a totally different quilt! And I've seen mistakes or misplaced blocks that way, but never saw them when looking at the quilt itself! A great tip.....thanks!

And it was wonderful to see all those great quilts from that show! Thanks for sharing them, and your insights on each. I was surprised to learn that all your beautiful hand quilting is not a running stitch! But I couldn't hear what stitch you use instead.

Was it back stitch? Do your quilts have a solid line of stitching on the backs? Thanks!Monicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12224346283881001640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3803803423450197087.post-63641011976750685592014-02-01T08:58:57.924-06:002014-02-01T08:58:57.924-06:00Thank you for another great blog post! So many of the major shows don't allow tied quilts which to me is unfortunate. Not only have I seen some great "tied" art quits, but historically (at least in Maine) we see as many tied quilts in the late 19th century and early 20th century as we do quilted. I think it is a part of quilt history that we are losing. Thanks for you post of these wonderful quilts.Wendy Caton Reedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18122151466664580872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3803803423450197087.post-51612508192723157322014-01-29T05:54:28.875-06:002014-01-29T05:54:28.875-06:00It was so much fun to listen to your radio intervi...It was so much fun to listen to your radio interview, Sue. What lovely quilts!!! The "cheddar conflict" was a good lesson, too. I have a small quilt that I wish I had separated the darker beige backgrounds a little better! I think the camera would have helped. It did win a 3rd place ribbon, so I guess it wasn't that bad! LOLJudymchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06155289055650842847noreply@blogger.com
